Abbey and Maggie have always had a fondness for history, so when they were trying to come up with fun ideas for their main photo shoot, I casually mentioned that we might be able to take pictures at the Brown Mansion in Coffeyville, KS.
Their eyes sparked with enthusiasm at having a chance to visit one of their favorite historical sites in our area, so I immediately began my quest to make it happen.
Brown Mansion, we highly recommend checking it out. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the three-story, 16-room home was built by W.P. Brown in 1904.
Some of our favorite features are the two-story entryway, the ballroom on the third floor, the Tiffany lead-glass accents and chandelier, and the verandas. But really, the entire home is absolutely charming--and the perfect setting for our main photo shoot.

We're saving the best photos for another time, when we hope to share with you some cover ideas for the CD. Until then, please let us know what you think. Do you love the girls' dresses and hairstyles? Do you think the Brown Mansion is a great setting for this photo shoot? Have you visited the Brown Mansion?
