  • Winning Verses, by Jocelyn Murphy - 10/14/16 - "The Vogts Sisters (pronounced votes) have been winning awards for their songwriting since they started touring only four years ago. On Saturday, they return to Eureka Springs where they won last year's singer/songwriter contest at the Ozark Folk Festival, which earned them the opening spot for the headliners of this year's festival, The Elders." • No Depression Album Review, by Frank Gutch Jr. - 7/26/2016 - "Again, ten solid originals presented Vogts Sisters-style, this time just the sisters and the songs. Low key but not lo-fi, they keep the songs close to the vest, singing from the heart. There is lonesome here, and happiness, and humility, but mostly melody and harmony." See the entire review HERE.
  • The Daily Country Album Review, by Harriett - 7/18/2016 - "The talented  duo unapologetically embrace the power of an acoustic guitar, a fiddle and flawless vocals in this ten track, self-produced  gem... Strong Americana and Folk sensibilities are represented throughout in both the instrumentation and the stories told that are universal to the human condition." See the entire review HERE.
  • The Vogts Sisters Launch New Album HOMEWARD - 7/11/2016 - "Often referred to as musical angels, the Vogts Sisters touch the hearts of audiences everywhere they go—including their first Colorado Music Tour, from which they’ve just returned." Read the entire Chanute Tribune article HERE.
  • The Bluegrass Broadcast Album Review, by Renee Eberle - 7/2016 - "[HOMEWARD] opens with the award winning "Remain" a beautiful love song about trust and loyalty and is followed by "Once in a While" a lilting love-gone-wrong song that really showcases the beautiful harmonies....If you only check out one song on this recording don't miss "Maybe" a cleverly written, relevant piece about the acoustic, Americana-folk music that they are representing so well (I LOVE this one!) - See the entire review HERE.
  • Live Music Review: The Vogts Sisters @ the Root, by Jeremy Johnson - 2/12/16 - "Coffeehouse concerts can give off an “open mic night” vibe–i.e., informal and amateurish, the sort of thing musicians and listeners try to avoid. Musicians have to battle with screaming espresso machines for the audience’s attention. Sometimes nobody shows up but the musicians. Occasionally there’s awful poetry. In short, they can be a sad ordeal.--None of this was present at Root Coffeehouse on Friday night when the Vogts Sisters (pronounced “votes”) took the stage."
